TESTIMONIALS:
DAVID:
We all had a fantastic time on David Carnegie's 5-In-1 Combo Tour Shore Excursion in Puerto Limon,Costa Rica.
The weather was perfect. 85 degrees F, (Chicago was 22 degrees the same day!), light NE sea breeze gently swaying the coconut palms and our little group of Midwesterners enjoying some Bob Marley and Walter Ferguson music (Reggae-Calypso).
David gave us the millionaire treatment "off the beaten path".
First, we took a great photo-op from the El Faro Restaurant vantage point overlooking Puerto Limon and the Historic Isla Uvita (Quiribri). We then took a panoramic drive along the seacoast road connecting Puerto Limon with her sister town Puerto Moin. There, we boarded a small craft (canopy covered with all safety equipment) and spent nearly one hour taking pictures of the incredible display of tropical birds inhabiting this narrow "Amazon Canal". Iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, sloths, monkeys, crocodiles and a special species of bat almost invisibly living on the side of a tree all told us HELLO! and upon departing, please come back again!
We next took a short back road drive through some of the greenest fields I have ever seen in my life. The banana plantation we then toured showed me how much I never knew about our favorite breakfast cereal fruit.
Our next to last stop, Cahuita National Park showed me why this exotic Province is so special. Coral Reefs, white and black sand beaches and fantastic natural walking trails, all in two hours time. The cuisine was fantastic and with a great price tag! Red Snapper dinner with patacones, rice and beans, typical salad all for $10.00!
Last stop before the Pier was a handicrafts shop where we purchased items we won't see anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere, all meticulously hand-created by local BriBri Indigenous men and women. David told me to come back on a longer vacation when the kids finish school in June and he'll show us a special time at a RELAX-RELAX-RELAX pace. He mentioned something we in theUSA can't even imagine: Costa Rica has NO STANDING ARMY and has had none since 1949!!! Why can't us Gringos get it together like the Tico's?
Upon returning to the Pier, I felt like I have lived here all my life, yet only in the space of 8 hours time.
Thank you so much, David Carnegie and your entire team of co-workers. God-Willing, I'll be back again and I highly recommend anyone reading this post to visit Mr. Carnegie's site at www.caribbeancostaricans.citymax.com and give him a try.
You'll be glad you did!
